Apparently the Plain White Ts released their album and I had no idea. I feel like a bad fan. But we wouldnt get it here the first week anyway.
Incubus better be good.
I need a ton of new music. All the old songs I still listen to are on my new computer and I just want to listen to a ton of new bands and new songs or old bands and new songs and all that. If anyone wants to recommend some bands I'll likely download it immediatly. I'm really into punk and pop-punk bands right now but I listen to a lot of stuff that doesn't really fit that.
So tell me what to listen to!
I'll start you off with one. These guys are probably a bit slower/more mellow than what you listen to. but very catchy, and the best band of fake pirates i've ever heard. You should like them.
The Decemberists- The Crane Wife

Don't bother trying to tell people about new music here. It will just fail, like my previous three threads giving it a whirl.
But seriously, if you want to read about a few of the bands I recommend, check out the write-ups I have on here. They're slightly in depth and they're all pretty damn good.

uh. your thread didn't fail Alan. i never wouldve checked out Man Man if it weren't for that thread. not to mention the threads before that... many of the bands you mentioned are part of my everyday playlists now. and i'm sure some others agree

Yeah I listened to a lot of stuff you recommended too. I've bought albums with no idea who they are or what they sound like because you recommended them, so do think it was a total failure. There are a lot of great bands I found that way... even if I never said so before.
See Brett I do occasionally listen to stuff like the shins and the decemberists and more recently of montreal, but I prefer stuff thats more fast-paced and so I never really become a big fan of those bands. I do listen to them though. Just not as much.
I'm probably a terrible person to recommend music to, mainly because I will download or buy albums and listen to the stuff you suggest, but I try not to give my opinion right away. I find that first impressions arn't usually accurate in any way so I'd rather listen for a while then just say 'OMG THIS IS AMAZING' or 'this is terrible and I'm never listening to them again' because thats usually not the case a week later.

				Forward Russia is highly enjoyable.
Highly.
I've been harassing my other friends for music too, so I've been listeing to boy kill boy, and he is legend, and treos and other similar stuff.
new music is fun.
I've been into red jumpsuit apparatus too.
my current list of cds to buy include new mars volta, racontures, black maria, killers, plain white t's, cancer bats and whatever else is less than $10.
