Hey Doc, it is so hard when a loved pet finishes their life. Take solace in knowing that she had a great life and was loved. It will be hard for a while.
hang in there

Johnyy it is never easy losing a pet. Esp when you had one for so long. I had to put my oldest cat to sleep a few years ago. She was 19.I also put the dog to sleep when she too became ill.. Last year I had to put to sleep one of the kittens cause they were hurt in an accident. They were only 5 weeks old. I took comfort in knowing the sibs were alive and well. They just turned 1 this week.
I too just lost a kitten.. One of the babies from the litter had died. I found it pushed away from the litter Tuesday afternoon. It was only 5 days old. I called it Grey( from the Pedestrian song Covered in Grey) cause he was Grey like the mother cat..I wanted him to be buried with a name. I just buried it the other day..
I know all too well how hard it is to lose a pet. With my cats I was able to keep a piece of the fur, and I have the ashes..
I have been lucky though cause I have witness the birth of kittens and their firsts..
give yourself time to grieve. Losing a pet is just as hard as losing a Human member of your life. Some people do not understand that which is sad..

				It was tough.
I ended up having to put her to sleep because she was suffering.....andn I couldn't watch her die what was essentially a slow death. It was the hardest decision of my life, but I feel better now that she is resting easy and not in pain anymore. Turns out we had her for twenty years.

				YOu made the right decision..
It is never easy though. I totally know all about that.
I have stayed with all the animals when they were put to sleep.

oh strange. the staples my sister worked at gave everyone a $200 bonus if they stayed through the back-to-school season.

So, I like this cute little red head that works at Futureshop and she likes me. But the question is that could something happen given the facts that:
A: I live 45 minutes away from the city
B: I don't have realiable access to a vehicle, so if I successfully put the mack on her, I wouldn't be able to go out with her whenever I'd want too.
Decisions decisions!

yeah 45 minutes isn't even a long distance relationship. In bigger cities, people live that driving distance away from each other anyway. So there's no reason not to make it work!

i just spent the last year going through a relationship an hour away from each other. i just moved in about 2 months ago. if i can do it, you can too.
and i do have to say, i'm so sorry about your cat, johnny. i can't even begin to think how i'd feel in your shoes.

Well, all I need to do is to put the mack on her and get easy access to a vehicle then!

				So...
I've been gone for nearly two and a half years... and Johnny's the ONLY person who's passed my post count?

 Wow.

I was just thinking that's the reason you came back to re-claim your post count lead.
It's less than 1000 so you should have it back in no time.
