feel sorry for you.
doesn't u of T have a transit pass or anything like that? UBC has a sweet u-pass, you can go anywhere in the city for free for just $22 a month. i had an hour commute to school and an hour back everyday, but it was pretty sweet cause i could just go to sleep on the bus/skytrain. it'd take me just as long to drive. here, its only 10km to work down a steep hill.

you pay at the beginning of term and you forget about it. so it's sorta free if you forget about it.

yeah the ubc pass thingy is very cheap and its included, i think in your student fee...

I had a free pass around all of Utah with UTA last year. Didn't use it once. I might be using the bus in my new town but I doubt it.
Even with gas as expensive as it is, it is still cheaper to pay for it than to pay rent.
