Have you ever seen High Fidelity Rob??

Now that was one of the best movies I have ever seen...and Jack Black is in it. Don't assume everything he does sucks.

It's easy to fill in the spaces for almost any Hollywood movie. That doesn't mean you can't go and have a good time watching it.

To tell you guys the truth i saw high fidelity and i didn't like it... at all really.. but i cansay jack black was quite funny in that movie. Second off... i love Jack Black and third... This movie rocks!

but...

this isn't the type of movie to see for the storyline, its good to get a couple laughs out of. i'm sure it wasnt meant to have an in-depth plot.

Actually, that was a good movie. Jack Black didn't star in it, though. That was when he was young and getting the kind of goofy sidekick roles. Then fame got to his head and he tried to be a "rock star".

It's not just Jack Black. There's just so many things about this movie that don't appeal to me. Actually, there are things in this movie that do just the opposite.

DUDE! my mom's best friend's daughter goes to prep school or whatevs and is friends with the lead guitar kid. how freaking cool is that. that kid was so adorable.

oh man! can he really rock out that awesomely?? that kid was the coolest kid ever. so was the drummer. i think they must be the same person, since they're both the coolest kid ever. woooo

rob, you can always have a different opinion, but what's bugging me is that you're bashing this movie without having seen it. To tell you the truth, when I first saw the trailer for it, I thought it looked pretty stupid, but then when I heard nothing but good things about it, I thought I'd give a chance. A low and behold, when I gave it a chance I enjoyed it.

and here's some the things you said before about the movie:

it's a kid's movie

a direct ripoff of the storyline used in other movies + books

chocked full of cliches

stupidity in the name of Jack Black

basically what you've said is your definition of bashing without the profanities and bad grammar.

I have an opinion on this movie based on the previews. I have decided that this is not a movie I want to see. I then gave my reasons for not wanting to see it. I then backed up my reasons. That is not bashing.

Repeatedly telling me to shut up doesn't go very far in trying to prove whatever point you're trying to prove.
