I just want to make it clear that Rob and I aren't friends. I was just trying to explain the connection between OLP's songs and their titles. You chose to ignore that post, and attack me on saying that Vampires as a title seemed like shit.

But yeah, Rob doesn't like me very much. We've just both given up on OLP and I happened to agree with him.

WEll honestly I don't feel the least bit bad for you. If you asked for charity to run the site I might have been interested....but since you didn't I couldn't care less about your financial dealings for this board. Sorry, but its really not my concern unless it was voiced. I appreciate what you do for the community, but again, that's another issue. I'd like to stick to the arguement......not excuses to hide it.

And yes, we can say whatever we want....but are open to whatever anyone else wants to say about it.

Surfjan, a lot of the stuff you brought I never really disputed. I think you may have assumed I meant you weren't fans or anything, but that's not true. I know you are........my arguement was simply for one statement that was lacking respect (which is what my arguement is about). Your right to your opinion was never in doubt, but it seemed contradictory to being a fan, which in my books means having respect whether you like the music or not. I hope you understand this. The other stuff I don't really need proof of for anything.

I said I wouldn't post here........but it seems no one wants to PM...ah well.

i fail to see how being a "fan" connotes that you can't speak out negatively about the band.

someone can be a "fan" of the band's earlier music and not a "fan" of the recent music. i don't agree that expressing that sentiment is disrespectful in any way. on the contrary, if you care about the band and their music and don't like where it's going, perhaps one of the best things you can do is say so. at least you're giving an indication that, in your opinion, things are going downhill. if enough of these opinions are voiced, and the band cares about keeping their fanbase, then it would be up to them to look into creating better quality music. if they don't really care about the fanbase or the opinion voiced is not an expression of the majority, then why should they, or anyone else, give a shit?

There is a difference between being negative and being insulting. I never asked for people to like the band, just don't rip into them like you don't give a fuck.........its like telling a friend you don't like their effort......you tell them the truth, but I find that just saying "its sucks shit" doesn't really mean anything.....its just a slap in the face for their hard work.

You seem to have missed my point Sandsleeper. What you said is perfectly legit, but doesn't apply really to what I've been saying

i didn't miss your point. i just can't see the validity in it.

anyway, i really couldn't care less about all of this, which is why i ususally don't voice my opinions in this forum.

'Cause I do. I don't think the other ones would (especially not Happiness and SM), but I think Naveed would look neat. They should do that.
