Anyone else think it's a rip-off of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun"? Sure it's diffrent and not a mirror image but some on it's definatly really close.
Swirling colored sky
Warped Reality
Super colors
Depressed looking band
Suburbian set
there's more too
it's basically a walk through the neighborhood that BHS took place in

something else about the song too
it annoys me how even when they do a "dark" song, they break out into a poppy happy chorus. WTF? GC isn't 'Dark' and 'brooding" now. They just wanted to add some depth and angst to the music without losing the little girls and pop radio.
Could anyone see Kurt, Chris Cornell, or Layne Staley (all well documented kings of "dark" and "Brooding" breaking into some cheap ass, commercial pop chorus like that? Blink coudl kinda pull it off, but GC just makes me want to put needles in my ear drums.

billy really loves tim burton .. he has tattoos up and down his arms of the nightmare before christmas .. the video was inspired by tim .. sort of an edward scissorshands sort of theme going .. they're not ripping anybody off.

they said in an interview on much that it was inspired by edward scissorhands, im not sure if they mentioned nightmare before christmas but for some reason it sounds familiar to me..

because tim burton directed both of those (if i'm not mistaken) and billy adores him .. the artwork on the cd is supposed to have been drawn by billy with tim in mind too .. i haven't seen the cd though.

It does bear a startling resemblane to "Black Hole Sun", but I could also see how its inspired by Edward Scissorhands. I gotta agree with Sean that if they're shooting for a "dark" song, poppy chorusses dont really fit.

Thats only my opinion though, im not a fan of the band.

I don't mind the song either. It's alright, nothning spectacular. But, what is these days?
I hate the screaming though. It just sounds foolish and pathetic.

i really like the 'screaming'... oh well
if you want to hear something else for the album, i suggest 'walk away' and 'the truth' (i love them both to bits)

i just think it's a little fake and insulting, when they try to makea dark brooding song and then break out into this poppy shitty chorus. Why can't they at least make the song fit together?
