Well as most of you know, I want to go into medicine as a career(Emergency Medicine or Pediatrics).The point of this thread is to help me along with my studies. So if there is anything wrong with you, post a description of your problems and I might be able to help you. And after all, you'd be helping me along. And remember, I am not a physician so don't take what I have to say too seriously.

well as the CM's resident lifeguard and trained first-aid teacher i would say, yes. But maybe we'll get doctor j to give you a second opinion

No, blisters are caused wehn skin rubs against another surface, which causes friction.

In fact blisters can be treated by yourself and you only need to call a doctor if the blister gets infected, recur frequently, occur in unusal places or are very severe. Signs of infection are: pus(draining from blister), red or warm skin around the blister and red marks leading away from the blister.

Since you have a large blister,you need to do the following:

1. Clean the blister with antibiotic soap and water or rubbing alchohol
2. Find a saftey pin or a straight pin: Heat the pin over a flame until it glows red. Allow it to cool, then punctue the blister at the side.
3. Apply gentle pressure and drain the blister.
4. Apply some antibacteriall oinment and then apply a bandage.(change the bandage daily-or more frequently when the bandage comes wet, soiled or loose.

Now, some blisters may tear. And in that case, you'd want to take the blisters roof off(skin) with some fine scissors. After that is done, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. Then apply antibacterial oinment and bandages.

blisters are caused by wearing shoes that are too big. so the moral of the story is to buy shoes that fit.

now, onto my medical problem. for the past week, i've had these really bad headaches. i've taken tylenol, but it no workie. help me.

I have headaches and I found out that most of them are caused by dehydration, so drink lots of water.

water is all i drink.

then drink more caffeine, it will dialate your blood vessles. or something. I donno...thats what my sister said.

maybe its a tumour or you may be getting migrains see a doctor and they'll probably give you something.

now on to me. so my ear hurts like inside and it has for a couple days and in the morning it felt like clogged or something and it was harder to hear out of it than my other ear, whats wrong with me?

yea, i was thinking the migraine thing. but not the tumour thing.

maybe its all the mcdonals you eat
