Wow, this is defiinitely the biggest U.S. capture in history.
Discuss.

Didn't they "kill" him and his sons a while ago?
I guess it's just easier to find a person than HUGE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!
Anyway, the most this will do is bring some Christmas cheer to the American soldiers and piss off his supporters.

Wow, why am I not surprised you can't say anything good about the US? Anyways, they killed just his sons and released photos of them. Saddam was still at large. But why would I expect you to know that?

Hmmm
I thought that Saddam was killed as well
I thought he was killed a few times. Now all they need to find is Iraqs weapons of mass destruction.

My thoughts exactly, Kimmy. This is gonna be used as justification for the whole thing. I don't quite understand how the "war on terrorism" started out as payback on bin Laden, and when they couldn't find him the focus somehow shifted to Saddam, and now they caught HIM so everything's good! Does anyone else feel a little... i dunno... played? The other thing is that the USA was very clever in that Saddam is going to be tried in a "special Iraqi court" but, of course, the court will do what the USA wants, so the stats LOOK all magnanimous and uninvolved which sounds like a pile of crap to me. Anyways these are just my initial and (as I'm sure I'll get jumped on as being) probably "misguided" opinions.

I agree that this is just going to be used as another pro-Bush aspect to the up coming election.
Unfortunately they still haven't found the man who started it all. I guess it doesn't matter where Bin Laden is right? I mean they have Saddam, now they can parade him around the streets while people throw tomatoes at him, and Bush can smirk and move towards another 4 years in the White House.
Good job for catching a man though. Too bad it wasn't the one you were after in the first place.

Perhaps because they said repeatedly that he was killed with his sons...?
And I can't say much good about this war because I don't see much good in this war.

Rob... I think you're wrong about this one. They only announced that his sons were killed. They never said anything about Saddam.

Are you crazy roobbo? They're there to search for weapons of mass destruction! And they found some tube thingies that are possible thingies for some potential destruction. Those puppies look heavy! If handle careless they could lead to trouble. A man could put his back out trying to lift one! I for one will be happier that those metal tubes are now in safe custody. I for one slept better when I heard the news about the tubes being discovered. I shudder to think was those tubes coulda done.....
I'm being sarcastic but, other than capturing Saddam, this whole war was pointless

Then they must have said that after I stopped listening to the bullshit they were trying to feed us. I distinctly remember them saying that they had killed Sadam and his sons. They also said that they
found his sons, and left it in the air that they weren't sure about Sadam.
Oh well. Now that Sadam's out of the way, Bush can start imposing American beliefs on everyone and pumping out that Texas Tea.

Does anybody think this is actually going to change anything, except make the states look super-spiffy?
Bush even realizes that his so-called campaign against terror isn't stopping any terrorists.
Bush warned that "the capture of Saddam Hussein does not mean the end of violence in Iraq. We still face terrorists who would rather go on killing the innocent than accept the rise of liberty in the heart of the Middle East."

They have to charge him in an Iraqi tribunal , because if they went to world court, they might find out that some other people involved in this war could possibly be charged with war crimes too.

They're fighting a war that will never end... It could go on for decades and decades, and the US will never be able to stop fighting or else it'll be seen as defeat. It's hard to win a war that's impossible to win, against an enemy which will never stop firing.

So many Bush Haters... but you know what? After this there is absolutely no way that bush will not be relected unless he does something extrodinarily stupid with this situation.
Personally i never really have had a problem with Bush. As far as i'm concerned he has prevented any firther attacks on US soil.
