what's up with this guy? he runs for office and doesn't talk up his campaign. he's just a boring, non-essential idiot that was up for election. didn't say much, didn't get into detail about anything, and didn't rile up any interest with voters. he lost his vote in his own ome state, and lost the whole damn election (even if it was stolen, this jackass let it happen without saying a damn thing), and now, after all this was declared....he talks. Gore Accuses Bush of 'Big Brother' Policy....Gore: Bush Has Failed to Make U.S. Safer, and a whole slew of other comments about bush after the fact. what's it all about? what's the point? he never said a damn word, and now he won't shut up, like he would do any better in the current situation. my gad, what an idiot, it's like he grew a beard and a set of balls along with it.

I cringe to even think what a Gore presidency would have been like. The US would be known as the country who sits back and lets you attack them. Actually I bet Gore would have done almost the exact same thing as Bush. We would still be in a War on Terror, we would have gone to Afghanistan, but the argument could be made that we would not have gone into Iraq without the UN. Gore is just playing devils advocate, because that is what the Democratic party is running on in 2004. They are just hoping that Iraq turns out badly. Its rather sadistic when you think about it. Every bombing that happens in Iraq makes the democrats smile. How disgusting is that?

i'm not exactly a gore fan, but the man won the election and he got screwed out of it. History will not look kindly on America arund our generation. Well at least histroy in international text books

Looking back at a time, when a state election that kick started johnson's political career, our generation thinks, well hell, if it was so obvious, why didn't they do something about it? Why did the opponet just admit defeat? The people who lived through it tells our generation, that there was a political machine in charge, and you never went against the machine. If you did you were ruined. That's what the locals say, that's what the opponet said, and that's what everyone in the state had to do. bite the bullet and take it as truth. Bush was not a political force that made people vote for him, there's no proof of that. His brother wasn't gonna shut you down financially, or run you out of the state. so i want to know where exactly does this claim take root?

when the next generation ask me, if this election was stolen, like many claim it was, why no one did anything about it, i'm just gonna say, there's no proof that a George Phrarr type messed up the election, and that this man lost it outright. and if there is grounds for a dispute, he should have fought it and made the claim. he did not.

Obviously winning the popular vote means losing outright. The electoral college is useless. We don't have to worry about ballot stuffing and under-respresentation of smaller states anymore. The people wanted Gore, and the votes proved it. The outdated system of bullshit worked out for Bush, and now we're all paying for it.

Its has happened several times in election history. and it's only now that the public feel robbed.

Sorry to burst your bubble Alan but John Quincy Adams, and Rutherford B. Hayes also lost the popular vote, but won the electoral college.

Oh, shit, my bad. Back then, however, it was needed. There were only a handful of places with people available to vote. Today, we don't need it. Each person should have their vote count the same. Let's say 2million people decided to actually vote in Michigan. Each person's votes should count for the same amount as each person in Rhode Island and Texas. My vote should count as my vote, not a piece to give one man 30 points in the end. That's that.

I can't say I really disagree with you Alan. However, complaining about the law isn't going to change it. Action has to be taken in order to do something about it. If a candidate wins by Electoral vote before it is changed, then that is it. No more arguing, that is the system and you have no grounds to fight it. Fight the system, not the result.

i'd be happier with the populus vote counting too.
