Did anyone else watch this? I for one am glad that GW is vertually unbeatable in 2004 (unless he REALLY screws something up). These guys (and woman) are horrible candidates. Definitly the worst since Michael Dukakis in 1988. Howard Dean can't answer questions correctly and hes the front runner! They are a joke. The worst part of it was you would think they would wanna criticize the Iraq war (to appeal to the anti-war people) since that is one of the biggest issues (since they can't say a word about the economy since it is rising so much), but all they could talk about was Gay Rights! LOL an issue yes but not one of the magnitude of Iraq and others. Its obvious they don't know how to handle it any different than Bush is.

And yet Bush is a linguistics expert... that's why he's never made fun of in the media, or on shows such as David Letterman.

Bush is the butt of every joke, so really there's no difference.

If you're refering to Wes Clark, yes he is. He's not even worth noting because he can't make up his mind on things he said 6 months ago when we was supporting Bush. Now he says he never supported Bush. I will admit GW isn't the greatest public speaker in the world.....in fact hes bad.....either that or he needs a new speech writer, however when he is asked a direct question he answers that question if he can without compromising intelligence. I'm gonna assume none of you watched it and don't have a clue what I'm talking about, but Howard Dean was asked a question about his comments on "wanting to be the candidate of Southerners with Confederate Flags in their pickup trucks". Heres a link to a summary of what happened.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A64780-2003Nov4?language=printer

He never answered the question that went along with the student saying he was offended by it.

who better to lead the country then a better qualified man like Clark, his qualifications are better in every way. Not to mention although it's not good to switch presidents in war times i'm sure you can make an exception for a man with the qualifications Clark has, not to mention he is like a compromise, the democrats would like him, but he still has enough conservitive common sence and military know-how to please the conservitives

Read some of the questions they were asked. Seriously, what a joke! Yes, the fate of our country lingers on whether or not the future president prefers a PC over a Mac.

The conservatives hate him because he is backed by the Clintons.

What the hell happned to voting for people based on the person and not what party they were affiliated with? Party affiliation is just a prison that locks you into a certain mind set. After all what they called the Republicans in Abe's day is only republican by name. He's the anti-thesis of republican. Names mean nothing

Oh did I accidentally type a party name when I posted? Let me check.... wait.... no no... I wrote the "Clintons". Hmm.. unless the Clintons is a new political party, I didn't write a party name.

You obviously hate Bush. Would you vote for a candidate that Bush stood behind 100%. Doesn't that usually mean that this new potential candidate has the same ideals as the person that supports him?

And I don't know where you're going with the whole "Abe's day" thing.

Its obvious you don't know what you are talking about. Not only from what Corey has pointed out, but also because you hate GW Bush but you feel Clark is better qualified?? Do you know Clarks history in the military at all? Read the previous thread on what I said about Clark. The guy is a loony toon!

I watched it last night. None of the candidates seemed very promising to me. Something i didn't understand is why they did focus on gay rights so much. Sure, it's an issue but at the present time there are lots of other bigger issues that should have been discussed .

Dean is pretty bad. He alienated African Americans by saying that he wanted the vote of the Southern man with the pickup truck that has the Confederate flag on it. Way to go and lose what votes were going to be yours.

Clumsy did you know that he was fired from command in Kosovo? He was fired because he didn't wanna follow orders he was givin. The guy is an egomaniac. I do hope its him that gets the democratic nomination because he is very experienced in the military and the US NEEDS that in the President. At the same time he has NO political experience which doesn't pose well for things here at home.
