Has anyone else noticed how annoying Kazaa is?

I keep trying to download songs by the same band, and everything I get is the same song over and over. not even the whole song, just parts of it.

Is this because of copyrights or what? Or is Kazaa just lame?

Actually, what I find (I use Kazaa Lite) is now because of the copyright fights, you can hear appx. the first 13-18 seconds and then you get this REALLY FUCKIN annoying buzzing sound.....

I hate it.....

Rather than buying REM's Greatest Hits next Tuesday, I'm trying to put it together myself and I'm having a HELL of a time.

now what it's doing is I try to download a bunch of songs by the same band. but when they complete and I listen to them, they are all the same thing, which is just one song. it sounds stupid but that's what is happening.

We should all sign a petition making it easier for us to steal music.

totally.

what i really don't understand is when I try to download music that's not even from major labels, and it does that.

i mean, don't they need the publicity and accessibility?

damn.

Yeah, I got so pissed with Kazaa Lite that I switched to WinMX. I haven't gotten any messed-up songs from them yet.

for people (like yourselves) who listen to non-major label music, SoulSeek would probably be your best bet, it's like an indie-music search engine.

Tip for you ...

If the song has a BitRate quality of above 128 theres an increased chance it's a fake.

I don't know the specifcs but CD quality sound is recorded at 128 kbps so anything above that has a higher likelyhood of being a fake.

Doesn't apply to everything but somethigns to keep in mind.

I don't think I had any problems with kazaa when I used to have it.. though once my sister downloaded an eminem song and it was almost 20 minutes of glitchy noises. after we reformatted the computer we got WinMX and two days ago I downloaded a fuel song that was 15 of opening, beeps for a minute or so, fifteen seconds more of the song, then beeps again until the end. Also on WinMX I'm finding it almost impossible to get rare songs. Out of all the OLP rare songs i've tryed i've only managed to get Trapeze and Out of Here (which took a half-hour each on a high-speed connection) so personally, I think I'd rather have KazaA back.

i have really never had a problem finding most songs. i don't download much but when I do, on Kazaa, I never really have a lot of problems with it. I can usually find the song I want after a few minutes or so

finding the songs, themselves, isn't at all difficult..........but AT TIMES (hehe) finding a 100% error free copy of the track can be a pain in the ASS.

 bringing up rap - it took me FOREVER to find a totally legit copy of 112's new single: Hot & Wet

Soulseek is not up and running now.... :(

I, too, miss audiogalaxy, but mostly kazaa (in the earlier years) before all the songs were screwed up

I know, kazaa has always been the best to use, but now it's only good for videos. I downloaded limewire for pc, and believe it or not you can find EVERY song without errors in it at all bitrates. It's the only thing i've been using for music lately, but u cant download SHIT for videos.

the only band i've ever really had trouble with is thursday... anything from their new cd is hard to get. i keep getting fifteen second clips from about five songs played back to back.

not that it really matters. i have the cd.
