Rockers Metallica are suing a Canadian band they claim have copied their music.
In a Trademark Infringement Suit, filed at the American District Court in central California this week, the "Enter Sandman" group allege Unfaith's use of the guitar chords E and F "shamelessly" copies their own, causing "confusion, deception and mistake in the minds of the public."
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich explains, "People are going to get on our case again for this, but try to see it from our point of view just once. We're not saying we own those two chords, individually - that would be ridiculous. We're just saying that in that specific order, people have grown to associate E, F with our music."

Well, it looks like Better Than Ezra should sue Bush (Glycerine), Green Day (When I Come Around), and The All-American Rejects (Swing, Swing) because all four of those bands use the same chord progression and rhythm in their songs.
Does Metallica ever wonder why they really have no fans anymore? First they sell out and start a "metal" movement, then they sue bands that cite them as influences. Way to go!

Well... they actually do have fans, still. Tons, actually. This is beyond stupid, but I still like 'em. Their music freaking rocks. Well... pre-St. Anger, anyway.
Lars just needs a good kick in the face. That's all. Notice how it's always Lars who's the spokesperson? I bet the rest of the band thinks he's just as retarded as the rest of us do.

i agree with nikki on this altho im gonna with pre-load myself.. i do like a few songs on load and re-load (mainly fixxxer) but for the most part those 2 cds arent that good
i do like the S&M (i love classical music and incorporating that into metallica stuff was cool)
this lawsuit however is retarded

See, the thing is, a lot of people were totally willing to believe that article. Had it been posted about nearly anyone else, the skepticism would have kept it from working.
But Metallica sucks so much that we actually think they could do that. That take a lot of sucking, Reno. Don't fret. They really do suck bad.
