any man who beats his wife should get more than a year in prison. He deserves life in jail.

well, all chivalry aside, you will notice that he was not convicted of assualting his wife. he has only been convicted of spitting on the cop.
he DESERVES to be released.

indeed. besides, i would shudder to think as to what would happen should a life sentance be awarded to those who are convicted of beating their wives.

for a person who actually beats their wife? 12 rounds with mike tyson. all 12.
however, the family court/domestic violence system is appalling frequent in producing false convictions. it severly needs an overhaul. it is simply too easy to get a conviction or restraining order.

1. The headline is misleading. According to the first line of the article, he COULD get a life sentence, it hasn't been handed down yet.
2. Yes, that is dumb.
