I'm going to be going to Toronto for a couple of days this week (I've got the week off). We'll be staying at the Bristol Place, by the airport (fun to watch planes come in and out before bed).
So, I need something to do. We're going to get there Friday afternoon, possibly meet up with my sister for the afternoon, then we're going downtown to the CN Tower for supper (expensive, but we haven't been there in a long time).
Then we have nothing to do on Saturday. We'll probably end up downtown shopping.
However, if I can think of something better, I might be able to convince my parents.
Any suggestions?
Oh, and in case I do end up shopping... what's the name/address of that infamous t-shirt store near the condom shack?

go shopping on queen st. and young st. there are a lot of cool stores.
as for the store next to the condom shack, no one knows what it is called. everyone just calls it the store next to the condom shack. i know it is just west of the osgoode subway station, if that helps you at all. there is also a store on younge st. called the giant poster store, or something like that. they have a million posters and they sell t-shirts too. it is on the east side of young st. right across from the eaton center. it is around all the big music stores.
heh, i am so bad with directions.

I know the Eaton's Center (d'uh), so I'll probably check out that second one. And we'll be taking the subway, so I'll see about stopping at Osgoode.

Hehe, I smell meetup.
Actually, I don't. Not with
my parents. I'm sure that idea would go over well...
"Hey mom, can I go meet up with a friend of mine?"
"You have friends in Toronto?"
"Yeah"
"How"
"Erm... I met her on the internet"
"... well, the answer's obviously no. And we're going to get rid of that internet as soon as we get home. We don't need you meeting up with any horny old men. You could get hurt in a big city like Toronto. You never know who you're talking to on that internet blah blah blah"
If I knew what time I'd be somewhere, I'd say you could just show up. But I have no idea when I'll be doing what.

Isn't it Bloor that has the really nice stores?
And as for overprotective parents, Toronto is the first city that I was allowed to walk around completely alone in.

Bethany has walked on the 401 before; why not again?

I've stayed at all the Wyndhams in Canada...Bristol Place and the one in Montreal, which I mistakenly shared with some band I was seeing.
My father was just telling me on the phone that it's cheap to go to Canada because the exchange rate is still good. Is he telling me that he's still sending me and my friend to Toronto basically for free?
