yeah, i saw that on much news. what if you're canadian, can they even tell?
i (mostly my brother) have thousands of songs. have they said anything about where they are going to sue first? (kazaa etc.)

fuck this man, its stupid ass shit, i have plenty of music on my computer i downloaded from the internet and i don't even have kazaa, so these people can easily fuck themselves... like OLP live, brent sendt me a couple songs... so when you think bout it they'll never ever stop sharing.

Yes but I read in the paper today that they will start suing the people with the largest collections of illegal music on the networks. So I would recommend moving all your mp3's and mpeg's off of the shared folders on your pc. I don't think they can get into those, but if you are actually SHARING them....

no kidding dude. if you're not sharing them, they have no way of knowing about them.
but then, if everyone did that, it would become harder to find songs....

the best part about this orrin hatch's dealie is that he actually had proprietary software running on his website that was being used in a manner AGAINST what the software maker had stated in the licence agreement.. the software company contacted him and 2 days later the site was re-done to fix the problem..

EXACTLY! If everyone is scared enough to take their music out of their shared folders then there will be no music to share since it's peer to peer...
Orin Hatch can kiss my downloading ass. If ever see him strolling the streets...grrr.
A guy I know said that they can look at the transfer history. I don't know if I should get rid of kazaa or not, I'm scared! On the news it said all this shit is supposed to start tomorrow.

i say we make a site of songs we can find on eachothers stuff, and we put up the name its under and the real title. it could work as long is its one of those sites that there are no links to, like on nam kablams site where its all one page
but theres tons of stuff on that site

I'm not positive, but I don't think you have to get rid of your software.. just don't open it. That's what I'm doing.
But I guess they're gonna come up with some deal where you pay to use one of those programs? I'd do it.
