I'm just wondering. I'm curious as to how you performed and what you thought of it.

Standardized test in New York. All students in the state take the exact same test at the exact same time. A high percentage of students failed it this year and there is going to be a rally against it.

Yeah my mom's an assistant principal at a high school on long island and she's freakin pissed at the state because of their regents exams. so many kids, who have a hard time with math to begin with, failed what was supposed to be a simple exam, and for some of them it could mean not graduating.

on the math A regents they had questions that required a graphing calculator (which math A students do not have), and then the answer didn't fit on the calculator so even if the students had one they would have had to know how to manipulate the settings (which they don't know how to do.)

they physics regents was also ridiculous this year. it was last year too though. people were actually warned against taking it this year by their teachers and luckily they didn't have to since it's not one of the required tests.

I was required to take the physics regents in high school. I think I got an 80-something on it.

Oh... just for my science sequence. There are other alternatives, like taking a business or language sequence.

In Ontario you just have to pass a literacy test in grade 10, if you fail it though you can retake it until you pass it, plus it's incredibly easy.
