Cook 'spat on' police officer's burger
A Texan teenager has been arrested for spitting on a burger before serving it to a uniformed police officer.
Officer Ray Garcia ordered a burger with bacon and cheese from a fast food restaurant in San Antonio.
Before biting into the burger, Garcia lifted a bun and noticed a clear sticky substance, reports the San Antonio Express-News.
Police arrested the 16-year-old cook who faces charges of tampering with a consumer product. It could land him in the Texas Youth Commission until his 21st birthday.
Bexar County juvenile prosecutor Jill Mata said authorities were awaiting the outcome of DNA tests on the saliva.
"It's pretty repulsive and threatening," she added. "Especially with all the concern about what can be transmitted."
A spokesman for the Whataburger chain of restaurants said the boy was immediately fired.

he's going to Juvy not Jail. I don't think that this will even be on his record either.
That's why i always check my whataburger before i eat it. we got some shaddy looking fellows at our whataburger, lucky for me i know them well enough that they wouldn't do that to me.

This is a joke, right? I don't think the kid should get anything more than fired from his job and fined. But jail for five years is just too excessive. But yes, he will probably wind up in jail because our society is beyond anal-retentive.

i think the chances of the cop dying from eating burgers with bacon and cheese are higher than him dying from some mystery illness in a glob of teenage spit. morons.

guys...it's juvy, not jail. i don;t think they put it on your record when you go to Juvy either.
Bexar county is stupid, they constantly try and make examples out of Teenagers. This one Judge made kids that were caught skipping to stand on the corner with shirts and signs that read, i'm a loser for skipping schoo.

What makes this worse is that these judges get away with these kinds of punishments. People with very minimal authority act like such bastards when it comes to punishing children. Wow, they skip school a couple times, let's publicly embarass them even more than what they already have been. Let's put a kid in juvy because he spat in a burger. Wow, pathetic.

it's because they want to get elected and what better way to look good to the voting populus then to push around kinds. it's fucking pathetic. and what's ironic about it is that during their campaigns they have pictures or commercials with their whole family, making him look like he actually gives a shit about kids.

personally I think we're too easy on kids.
This kid won't be put in jail. Nobody ever gets the maximum. He'll get a fine and community service at worst.
What next? pissing in pickle jars? jacking off on the fries? "All he did was spit on a burger". So punish him. Set an example. Don't let these asshole punks get away with this crap.
What if someone keyed your car? Stole your wallet? Put a hidden camera in your bedroom? It is violation of property. Who cares if it is just a burger. Companies can be held liable for this sort of crap and get sued for millions, but it's wrong to think the kid should be punished?

i think that because this was a cop and this happened in Bexar county that he'll be in Juvy until he's atleast 18. but if this were anyone else, just some regular shmo waltzing into a whataburger, they'd go easy on him big time.

yowza. never eating at fast food restaurants again. even going to juvy is lame, he should just get community service. and how the fuck would you piss in a pickle jar?? fortunately it seems to be mostly males that do this, since it would be pretty impossible for a girl to jack off on fries or piss in a pickle jar (if it weren't filled by a machine)
