thank you for saying that Matt. I was gonna say the same thing but thought people would jump on me for lack of a sense of humour. I personally don't see the difference between making newfie jokes and black, or hispanic, or jewish jokes.

I only make newfie jokes to my blond newfie friend and uncle who is a newfie because they appreciate the humour and make them too.

my friend's newfie uncle once saw two women holding hands and hissed to my friend, "them's <i>lebanese</i>".

This one time my mom and pops were in newfieland, and they went out to the wharf to look at the fishing boats and such. This old fisher man waved them over with a big toothless smile, so they went over and said hello. He kept saying "tickey!" so they were kind of confused, and thought he meant they had to have a ticket or something. Instead he was saying "It's think, eh?", refering to the fog. Does that count?
