nothing beats waking up at 8am with your head face first in the sand no pillow, no blanket and just looking at the water. it was definatley one of the coolest moments of my life would have been better without all the spinning but adds to the enjoyment. i suggest everyone go pass out on the beach and for all you landlocked states out there,

No passing out on the beach for me... but it's awesome to sleep there. (Cain and I drive all the way to North Carolina just to spend a weekend sleeping on the beach) ::sigh:: I love summer.

living in the middle of the Niagara region is great for beaches... You have lakes 20 minutes to the north and 20 minutes to the south so there's plenty of beaches to go to.

last night there was a couple on the beach and I think they planned to sleep there but after we started our fire and put on music they left. When we first went down to the beach they were humping in the car

I've never seen an ocean.
Well technically I have but it was from a plane and if i looked closely I could make out the florida coastline as we were flying into Tampa,,,

actually, that's not even the ocean. it's the north shore of LI so it's the Long Island Sound, not that it makes a huge difference, it's all connected anyway.
but yeah i dont' think living right on the beach is all its cracked up to being. i've lived withihn a mile of the beach my whole life and all i can say is i hate salt water, i'm damn sick of having my house flooded, and having sand in your ass is the absolute most annoying thing ever.
having a party on the beach is a perk but believe me, we paid a price. like lugging tents and firewood up and down these incredibly long, incredibly steep stairs down the bluffs and collecting sand in every orifice of our bodies. hehe someone's basement would have been much easier.

ya I know it's the gulf. I was talking about the ocean coast of Florida, which was visible since it was a clear day.
