Do you think maybe you just weren't ready for school yet?
I went to the U of A right after high school before i really even gave any thought to what sort of degree i would get or what career i wanted and i ended up failing. Just didnt' go to class, ever. I didn't care.

There's no harm in taking a year or two to figure it out - it IS the rest of your life, after all.

Wow, Rob all I can say is, I'm really shocked. In all the time i've known you, through LJ and whatnot, it was always Queens this and Queens that. I have a tremendous amount of respect for what you've done. I know the way you feel about Smart People going to Uni, and I must say, That it doesnt make you any less intelligent to take a year off and regroup. Im sure that all of your friends who truly know you, Will have a huge amount of respect for your decision. If you ever need to talk, my MSN is on here.
 lets hope this year can be devoted to getting better :)

I have an appointment tomorrow with a doctor/family psychiatrist (I think that's what he is), to start some sort of evaluation to see if I have an anxiety disorder. If I do (which I think is pretty much obviously the case), hopefully by next year I can have this straightened out.

Yep, use your time well Robbo. You may never have the freedom of time like you do now. Reward all the hard work you've done for the last 13 years with some fun!

Unfortunately my parents are adamant that since I'm not at school this year, I have to work.

And, since I'm living at home for free, I don't really have a choice. I've got a job working as a teller at TD Bank. I should start later this week or the start of next week, once they're done their background checks.

What really pisses me off is that they've already thrown the "You should be at school this year" line in my face a couple of times (over really trivial things, like my wanted to sleep in while I've got a few days off). If they do that one more time I'm going to fucking flip out. First of all, they know damn well that I couldn't continue on the way I was. Secondly, they suggested and repeatedly insisted that I should quit and take the year off, saying repeatedly that "Whatever you do, we're behind you 100%".

Meh. I've travelled a lot in the past. Been all over the Caribbean and Mexico. There's lots of other places I'd love to go (and plan to go in my lifetime), but now isn't the time, I guess.

My main priority this year (aside from getting over this anxiety) is to get into shape. I've joined a gym not too far from my house, and am having my cousin (a personal trainer) set up a routine for me. :D

That's just parents for ya. They told me to "just" take anatomy, but now that I'm not doing so well it's "well you should have taken more classes". It's parent syndrome.

Ugh. This doctor says that he "doesn't know if there's anything he can do", since I'm not currently experiencing anxiety.

...

Meh, it's covered. (I think haha)

Anyways, I have another three appointments scheduled. Unfortunately, the first is not until November 25. But, once I actually start working at the bank and get a schedule, they'll put me on their cancellation list (which is actually the only reason I was able to see him so soon anyways - someone else cancelled).
