I guess I like my synth music with more than just syntheziers. Again, The Faint is good and all, but after a while, it just takes its toll on me, like listening to the Blood Brothers. I can only listen to certain bands for so long because their sounds are so abrasive and hard to rock out with. Again, I still like them though, just a lot less than I like Interpol or ALK3 at the moment.
By the way, check out Kind of Like Spitting. They're amazing.

it's not necessarily new but Ben Folds Five is excellent (or you can just grab Ben Folds' solo stuff which in my opinion isn't nearly as good)

Thanks guys.
Dakona is alright, a little too overproduced for me though. Still good.
Tea Party's other songs didn't impress me much.
I am still just in awe that i haven't heard of idlewild before now. They are my new favorite band!

Hmm i'm gonna go out on a limb and recommend the group: Starflyer 59
I doubt you'd like it Baby Thief but if just one person likes this band on this board besides me my life will be complete. Definetely one of the most unique bands i've ever heard.
Their early stuff falls under the "shoegazer" genre but their last four albums are a lot more layed back, with little or no distortion. As far as vocals go, the lead sounds like he has the world on his shoulders. Very tired, very slow. Regardless its very good music. I really cant say i liked them at first but i love them now. If anyone cares here are some tracks that will give you the jist of what Starflyer is about.
Eary Era SF59: Monterey, The Dungeon, Dual Overhead Cam.
Present Day: I drive a lot, Sundown, We're the Ordinary, Underneath, No
Major Awards, Whats the Big Idea
