I'm assuming you meant for me to give that "type of music which isn't a real type of music (a chance)????
I'll get right on that......I gave it chance by listening to DC, no thanks.
Baby Thief wrote:When we are talking about top songs of the year... i don't think it should come down to oppinion. I think it should be given to the songs that were more breakthrough than a song with one thing that was good. Which is why i chose what i did. I know i sounded mean, and i'm sorry. I was having a pretty bad day.
But that is how i felt about what should be given the award of top songs of the year. I mean outkast's song got people who enjoy punk, rock, metal, rap, hip hop, and pop to all like one song. That is pretty incredible if you think about it. The Jet song was simply something new an unexplored. Someone said that they are copying the Strokes... not at all IMO. the Mars Volta and Interpol songs, to me, shows that true intelligent songs have a chance to get a good amount of airtime. Switchfoot song is probably the newest teenage anthem. 95% of the people i know love that song. It's almost like the anthem of the year. The Matthew Good song goes on my list because it proves a lot. it proves Matt's incredible talent. he didn't stumble or fall at all. The song was also nicely accompanied with my choice for video of the year. I know it doesn't have anything to do with the song, but just thought i'd mention it.
