Oh, I agree, whoever made that "lynched by black people" comment needs to be assigned a "forum buddy" to proof whatever they want to post and hit them with a stick if needs be.
Again, people decide what symbols mean. Here the majority typically wins, simply as a matter of simplicity, but this case does not have a very clear majority. There are a lot of southerners who do still put up the Confederate flag because they take it to represent their belief in the power of the state, or whatever. So if you don't think "racist" when you see a confederate flag, that's fine, I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise, just keep in mind that this is an area VERY open to interpretation.
I do believe that the bumper sticker in question was intended to mean "kill all islamics." The phrase it's a take off of, "kill them all and let God sort them out," means "Massacre the lot of them, friend or foe, we don't care." So the driver of the car was, in all likelyhood, a racist fuck.
