hahaha, I'm watching "Much Vote 2006" right now, and there was this bit about homelessness, where they interviewed some homeless people.
Homeless girl: A lot of people think "oh, that will never happen to me" and then just put the blinders on and ignore it

I can't believe I missed this. Four of my favorite things: elections, CBC newsworld, George and Matt, all at the same time.

Don't worry, you didn't miss much. Turns out it was just a small bit integrated into the election coverage. I watched election coverage from when I got home at 6:00 until like 1:30. I saw Matt twice, and heard him talk once.
They went to George once at the start of the show, and he introduced some of the people he had there (including Matt who was blogging on his laptop, and Jer). Then long after the results had come in, they went back to George for like a 2 minute spot. He talked to Matt first, who said something along the lines of how he wasn't surprised about the result, and that this was really more of a referrendum concerning the sponsership scandal than anything else. He also laughed at something someone else said. That was it. Nothing new, unfortunately.
I was hoping for a forum of some considerable length in which Matt could have discussed the issues with George and others. But nope. Of course not.

Oh. Well that's dissapointing. I was hoping Matt was helping George host his part of the coverage, interviewing other people and discussing results.

He and Spenny Rice have a TV show here. They're roommates and they compete in the crazyest competions all the time. He was also on George's coverage and is apparently friends with Matt now or something.
