Well I dont know how it is down in the states but I'll use my-self as an example. Say if I were to enroll in the University of Alberta for a for a four year course in Psychology, I wouldnt have to pay my tuition. Since I am a status indian, my reserve will pay my tuition for me AND give me around $800 for other expenses.
Hmmm........so would I have to live on the reservation then? Cuz my parents do, right now. Once I turned 18 and moved out, they moved from where they raised me back to my dad's reservation.

you probly dont have to live on the reserve for the benefits... it might be different in America but i think in Canada if you're like 1/8th indian you can get things paid for wherever you live.
I'm getting my hair professionally braided tomorrow .. it's gonna cost me a bloody fortune so hopefully it looks good Plus I have to sit for like 2 hours while they do it .. it so better be worth it.
that's awesome! i know two girls who did that last year. it looked great but they only left it in for about a week because their heads started getting really really dry and itchy and they just couldn't take it anymore.
and just a word of warning to you, the braids will ruin your hair, it'll probably have to be cut when you take them out.
