they were originally intended for admins to message a building all at once to tell them about server maintance and stuff...

Its actually fun if you know your friends ip addresses you can send them too

You were going through regedit to get rid of toolbars and bugs? :freak: Why didn't you just install Norton when you remembered and run it?

Playing in regedit = dangerous.

Oh, and I dunno... but I'm sure you could find how with a Google search.

i did, but none of them went away, the website that tells you how to get rid of everything told me to go do it through regedit.

Okay, I've got a major problem here.

My computer has been freezing up on me quite a lot (I haven't been able to do squat on it all day). After working for a while, it begins to slow down until it's finally completely unusable. At first I thought it was a cooling issue, but after attempting a few things there, I decided it wasn't that.

So, I tried doing a virus scan a few times but it, of course, kept freezing on me. Finally, out of frustration, I randomly thought of disconnecting the internet. And you know what? It worked! No freezing. So, while the internet was disconnected, I did a virus scan, but found nothing.

I then reconnected the internet, and I'm back to freezing all the time. I think it may be a virus or a trojan or something.

Help!

try some online virus scans Rob, there's one, Housecall something... it's updated very often and it's free, so if it's something new, they'll probably have something to fix it already.

here it is. I hope it finds something.

Yeah, I've got that. I haven't tried it though. Frustration and whatnot.

I'll try that next. I'm doing the online thing right now.
