guidance counsellors i swear are only hired to crush the soul of students, make them panic, stress, and eventually suffer mental breakdowns.
i've never ever met a good one.
but i've seen too many people ruined by bad ones.
i hate these so-called "guidance counsellors"

Agreed. After having seen that show thanks to the Target break room... I loathe it.
Know what else I loathe? FREAKING HARDDRIVES CRAPPING OUT ON ME OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Another one dead. And this one's dead dead. No saving any of my data off of it. It's all gone forever.

That's why the teachers who can't cut it as teachers become counsellors.
As for this chocolate soy milk...it's quite interesting.
Dammit, I knew I should've purchased real chocolate milk.

I had a wonderful guidance counsellor through most of high school.
Rest in peace, Mrs. Earl.

My mom cannot say no to people. Today a couple of people came over today to tell her about the Mormon religion and ask her to join. She couldn't just say that she wasn't interested, or was satisfied in her religion instead she listened to everything, talked with them, agreed with everything they said. Then she also said she's be very interested in learning more about it, invited them back on thursday, gave them our home number, and accepted the book of Mormon from them. Then she came inside and said she was gonna call them and say she changed her mind and mail the book back. So much effort could have been avoided if she had just said she was happy with the religion she was in.
The poor people that came they seemed so nice, and now she's just gonna cancel on them after promising so much. *sigh*
Don't worry about it. Those missionaries are used to it, and count it as a success. I know a missionary in Canada...I wonder if it was him.
I want to try this soy milk stuff. My roommate says it so good.

Apparently different brands are good or bad... Bethany has them all rated.

I'd have to say:
SoyNice Chocolate Soy Milk is a failing grade. Leaves a weird peanut taste in your mouth afterwards, it's definitely unique.

Anyone know anything about how much it costs to get a harddrive's data recovered professionally?

That's weird, I have never had a hard drive fail on me. If it did, my life would end. Violently.

Yeah, but I've got three harddrives in it. It was one of the older (and, of course, larger) ones that died.

I did no work at all today. I went to the office and spent the whole day doing the following:
1) talked to other people about what a crappy company we work for and how they're attempting to screw us over with redundancy arrangements and how hopefully we can all take them to an employment tribunal (a bit like court for employment complaints) and sue their backsides!
2) cleared out all my desk and drawers and sorted stuff for binning, taking if I leave, and keeping for now, but binnable if I leave - just in case
3) reading through years worth of saved emails making sure I sent home anything taht might be useful in the future and deleting everything else.
I really hope they do make me redundant after all this or I'll cry. A lot.

Wait...now you want to be fired?
Didn't you just quit another job you had because this one was better? That really sucks. I'm sorry

No, I'm still at the crappy old job. I'm still working on the new one. Hopefully it's still there for me and I can get made redundant and take the money on offer and have a job to go to straight away. Even if the job isn't still there for me I need to get out of my current company before it self combusts!
