Good Samaritan returns $1-million purse

San Francisco — John Suhrhoff found a Louis Vuitton bag on a Sausalito park bench.
Inside, police say, were a 12-carat diamond ring, pearl and emerald jewellery, a Cartier watch and roughly $500 in cash. The contents were worth $1-million.
But the respiratory therapist didn't think of heading to a pawn shop -- he took the bag to police Monday afternoon.

pfft, I carry at least $1,000,000 in jewelery and expensive handbags with me at all times. You just never know when it will come in handy.

what worries me more is that somebody had enough money to LOSE $1,000,000. If I was carrying that around, you can bet your ass I wouldn't let go of it, never mind leaving it on a park bench.

the guy said he would not accept a reward. I saw him on tv this morning.

But a reward was not even offered, which I find strange. Regardless of whether he would take it or not, I would have offered.
