I am truly sorry for what I said Steph. I didn't know anyone close to you had just passed away. There was no way for me to know that. How anyone could think there was is beyond me. Obviously if I had known I wouldn't have said what I did. I may be strong opinionated but I'm not an asshole and I don't wish harm on anyone. Thank you for all that came in my defense. You were right.....I had no way of knowing. For those of you who attacked me I ask you how can you say what you did. I'm not psychic. What you have said says a lot about who you are and just reinforces my opinions of you. Again Steph I'm very sorry to hear about your friend and I truely didn't mean to sound insensitive. I would never have made those comments had I have known.

venom, i know you didn't mean anything i just replied because she wasn't being an irresponsible drinker and downing obscene amounts of alcohol or showing off etc. i know you didn't mean to be insensitive. i probably wouldn't have made the thread if it wasn't for the fact that prior to this experience, i didn't really think alcohol poisoning was all that serious. i knew people died from it but i thought you had to drink excessive amounts for it to happen. also, a lot of kids are hesitant to take people who have passed out to the hospital because they think they will get them in trouble. it was more of a wakeup call than anything. thanks to everyone who posted condolences, i appreciate it.
oh and beth: she's from west bloomfield but she was a freshman at illinois institute of technology in chicago.

Did you ever concider opening or joining a chapter of SADD or something? that would be really helpful for a lot of people, and because of this experience people would listen to the message.
