Aw, I could have sworn that yesterday I read that Cash had just been let out of hospital.

I had heard Johnny Cash wasnt well, so its not a complete shock, but still a horrible loss.

But I dont believe about John Ritter. He was like JUST on Entertainment tonight, joking around, he seemed so fine. wow.

I'm also really surprised I hadent heard about either one of them until now...

Johnny Cash was just let out of the hopsital a few days ago, at most, five, and was doing poorly.

John Ritter, now that's a different story. I asked my mom about the aeorta thing, and apparently that's the equivalent of having your heart blow up. Maybe I said ruptured aeorta, I am not sure. Either way, he died.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

55... That's the same age as my dad.

I am pretty sure it was 52. Maybe I am dyslexic or something.

We're both wrong, I guess...

Yet one more glaring proof of the fact that people die.

I couldn't believe it when I heard the news this morning and heard that John Ritter died .. I loved him :crying:

Only 54 .. he was supposed to celebrate his 55th birthday next week they said :(

He left behind 4 kids .. I guess it happened on the set of 8 Simple Rules .. they rushed him to the hospital .. must have been scary for the people on set with him :(

I wonder what will happen with 8 Simple Rules :crying:

I'll miss him :(

Oh Jesus, they have his death on camera...for the love of God, I hope they don't release it. I mean, the guy's heart blew up, so you have to figure he just dropped to the ground and blood came pouring out of his mouth. I feel so sick just thinking that people had to see this, especially the children that worked on the show. Ehhh.

I don't know the details .. CNN was on all day at work and they just kept calling it a torn aorta .. they had a doctor on describing it .. symptoms were dizziness, nausea, chest pains etc .. I don't think it was as drastic as blood pouring out of his mouth .. god I hope not.

It's apparently very very rare for this to happen :(

Usually when the main heart valve tears apart, the blood in your body goes odd places. It wouldn't shock me if he did start spitting blood everywhere.

I just saw Access Hollywood. Apparently he was complaining that he was really tired and just not feeling well. A producer or someone on the show drove him literally across the street to the hospital and then he died. I think they were just rehearsing so nothing will be on camera.

"JOHN RITTER BECAME ILL Thursday while working on his ABC series and underwent surgery at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank for a tear in his aorta, a rare medical condition that can hit without warning. He died shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, publicist Lisa Kasteler said. He was accompanied by producers, co-workers, his wife and his 23-year-old son, Jason, said Susan Wilcox, his assistant of 22 years.
Ritter’s youngest child, Stella, turned 5 the day he died. His 55th birthday was next Wednesday. “It’s like there is a big tear in the world’s heart,” actor Henry Winkler told “Entertainment Tonight” on Friday. “He was extraordinary in every aspect of his life, especially as a father. His children were there at every moment of his life.” Winkler, who co-starred with Ritter on Broadway in Neil Simon’s “The Dinner Party,” was to make a guest appearance on the ABC sitcom. He was on the set Thursday for rehearsal when he was told Ritter had taken ill. No decision had been made Friday about the future of “8 Simple Rules...,” which was to begin its second season Sept. 23, an ABC spokesman said. It’s one of the few bright spots in the struggling network’s lineup. Three new episodes had already been filmed, and Ritter was working on the fourth when he fell ill."

His youngest daughter had just turned 5 ... how awful is that? :crying:

That's devastating .. I mean every year on her birthday .. it's gonna be the anniversary of the day she lost her father. Every birthday is gonna be a painful reminder .. I wouldn't be able to handle that. :(

All death makes you realize how fragile we are.

But it's still sad, I really like both of them. Johnny Cash...simply amazing. His cover of Hurt was better than the original, in my opinion.
