I might check that out. Although, if my parents won't even let me listen to OLP in the car, I doubt they'll want to go anywhere near yonge and dundas!

found more info:

Celebrate the energy of Toronto's vibrant downtown core at Yonge-Dundas Square - with thrill shows, extreme sports and non-stop rock concerts. Highlights on the Square include music by the likes of Not by Choice, The Salads, The Dears, By Divine Right and Hotel. Tower of Power presents a ski and snowboard show that integrates trampolines and two towers to help performers obtain maximum air, while the Robot Riots competition puts a battle bawtz showdown on the streets for the first time in Canada. Plus a Craz-E-Crew Stunt Team with BMX bike, skateboard and inline skate tricks, Beach Blast Volleyball and extreme busking with Circus Orange.

Busking is performing on the street and people come by to watch, and some even drop change into hats/guitar cases for the entertainers, but it's pretty much just performing/playing on the street for people. Anything, guitar, drums, juggling, etc.

I'm back!

The trip was pretty boring over all. We didn't really do much. Supper at the CN tower was really good. The highlight of the meal was spotting Much Music. lol

We were at the Eaton's Center, and there's this stand there where they sell autographed photos. I asked if they had anything of Our Lady Peace, and the guy said that they did have one. So he started looking. I'm waiting thinking "This is awesome!". Then he asks the other guy "Where's that Our Lady Peace photo we had?". "I sold it this morning." My thoughts: "FUCK YOU!"

that reminds me...I should post my picture from Speakers Corner (I didn't do it; I just have a great picture of myself walking out) in the CMers pictures thread.

Edit: I didn't know there was an official term for street performances until I went to Toronto. hee.

Nope. Couldn't convince my parents to pay for the extra stop at Osgoode after not finding anything at all the poster stores we went into on Yonge (we took the subway downtown).

And they wouldn't let me pay for said stop either. :freak:

That may be, but it was raining at the time, and we were headed to the old spaghetti factory for supper. It was on the way back from supper that I asked if we could get off at Osgoode, and got a resounding "no" from my folks.

i <3 toronto
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know
