i dunno.

I think socialism and communism are great ideas in general, but they're not used correctly in practice.

I don't want to be a part of this whole political discussion, so I will shut my mouth as of....now.

sorry to be a bastard, but if you like socialism then the word "think" has no place in your argument!

and can i ask why you don't want to question your beliefs? or have them scrutinized? there must be some reason you believe in socialism... what is it?

alot of people believe that they "think" that about socialism bethany, but you don't.

have you ever really honestly given that assertion any thought, or are you just repeating what you've heard others say?

Doug, you have said that you can't understand my mentality in backing this war and my confidence in my government. I don't understand why you feel that government is bad. How in the hell can you actually believe that anarchy is good or that it would work. Government and the laws that it puts in place keep order. Without government it would be the law of the wild......survival of the fittest. With no laws there would be groups of people seting up their own governments of sorts. These groups would eliminate anyone they didn't like. For instance you would be in one group and I in another. If there was no laws your group would attack and kill members of my group and vice versa because we don't like each other. What I'm saying is that there would be nothing to stop that from happening. There would be utter chaos and if you think otherwise you are more foolish than I thought. What we have here in America is the best thing there is going period! You also criticize people who want to be the head of a government like the US. You proclaim that they know no more than Joe Shmoe on the street. Well Jow Shmoe on the street didn't goto Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc and hasn't had access to classified and confidential information. Believe me there are things about Saddam and Iraq you don't know that they do. Again if you don't think so you are weaker minded than first thought.

what do you know about anarchist theory?

nothing.

so don't say another word about it until you've read about it. repeating your closed minded misconceptions only makes you look stupid.

he's hardly as bad as the warmongers.

Socialism affects relatively minor aspects of your life, when compared to massive slaughter.

but if you refuse to obey the laws of socialism you will be forced to at the point of a gun. further refusal to submit will result in your death.

all force is wrong and all government enforces its rule with death as the ultimate motivator. this includes a socialist regime or a demockratic one.

doug, just a question.

if you are so against violence and force, why do you continually suggest we should all get us a gun and shoot the nearest politician?

am i misunderstanding you, or something?

Having read and seen everything Moore has done I can honestly say that he's brilliant. Period. I only wish Stupid White Men came out after 9/11 and this "war on terrorism", That definately would have made for a very good and interesting read.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.
