Nope.

I'm pretty sure they're all 30GB with video now.

Yeeeeah, bastards.

You can actually convert any video you like into the correct format so that it's compatable with the Video iPods. I reccomend the MPEG-4 format. Videora and Xilisoft and pretty good at this :)

Happy converting!

Yeah, I will  I would have already, but to be honest, I haven't really driven anywhere to speak of since Christmas. I drove to the bank which is like a 4 minute drive round trip and a couple other such drives. The first time I go more than a couple miles I'm definitely doing it though!

Hahah, awesome. The best would be pulling up at a red light and watching the person next to you freak out.

That's not true, there are other programs that can convert videos to play on it.

But the reason I would want an ipod video over a regular ipod isn't because it has a color screen or can play videos. :P

It won't work. Unless you've got a very powerful transmitter (in which case, I want to know which one you've got), it won't override any real stations. In fact, you have to find a blank stantion to play it on. The best you'll manage is creating a bit of static on radios in close proximity.

is watching videos actually worth watching on the ipod? i think it would hurt my eyes from squinting, or something.

I can't really see using it to watch videos, personally. Except for the very rare occasion where you have something that you want to show someone else while on the go, it seems pretty frivolous.

I don't need to find a blank station for mine. In fact I've never even tried it on anything but a real radio station and it cuts right through it - sounds just like the song is playing on the radio, no static or interception or anything. You might be right about just creating static on neighboring cars though...but I hope not!

The new video iPod has video as a gimic. It's not a true video iPod. It's for watching a 20 minute TV show, or a music video, or whatever. But, they improved the audio recording. It won't work until they release an adapter, but it is capable of recording 44khz audio to MP3, possibly WAV files. Look it up, I don't know all the details. But the audio quality has improved drastically. Prety kickass :D.

Yup, that's why Josh wants one. It's also part of the reason I want the video instead of my 20GB. :(

Well, I'm still not certain I want one. I'd never ever pay for one if it didn't record at CD quality though.
