dude, just bite the bullet and talk to her. tell her how you feel, tell her your concerns, and let her make the call. you're overcomplicating things for yourself. yes, you have to be responsible - but you'll be debating like this until you talk to her. it's really not a big age difference, neoncrossing wrote:I keep on holding myself back from telling her how i feel cause i keep thinking of all the things that might not make it work...like me maybe going to a high school grad dance....or getting in the way of her living these late teen yrs, cause i've already done that....but on the other hand, i really like her....ugh...i hate this
Yes, and cell phones that don't work correctly. You'd be amazed at how hurt people can be because one doesn't return a call/text, when in reality the phones probably don't even work.If/when you decide to go for it, make sure you're super straight forward. Nothing fucks up potential relationships more than confusion.
Just because past hookups have been bad doesn't mean this one will be too. If you like him and he obviously likes you, then go for it. Take a chance and see how it goes.happening fish wrote:So an old friend of mine made a move on me last night after dancing around each other for the past three years. All my recent hookups have been pretty fucked up and dead end so I don't know whether to just enjoy these giddy feelings or wonder if all this build up will just lead to another messed up friendship. Ooaargh.

Hmm perhaps, but see, me having the sense of a kumquat, didn't manage to break that "friend" wall with this boy during the many years where we lived five minutes apart, nooo, I waited until we'd both moved far away from each other. Because that's how awesome I am.Rusty wrote:Just because past hookups have been bad doesn't mean this one will be too. If you like him and he obviously likes you, then go for it.
