How does it sound?
The demo makes me more excited about this album. Musically I think it's very good. The lead guitar part is played on an electric guitar, and there's a second (acoustic) guitar that's pretty quick and sounds more complex than any of the rhythm guitar parts that I can think of Raine usually playing. The electric guitar drops into the background and the acoustic guitar really carries the song through what is presumably the chorus.
Some of the lyrics were revealed over twitter earlier (the "close to singularity" lyric). The vocals have about as much falsetto in 80 seconds as any one of the last 3 albums did in total. Some of the vocals sound a tad rough, the falsetto parts and the backing vocals specifically, but I'm sure they will be polished up in the final version.

Thanks for the analysis Josh, I'm very excited to hear it! I can't remember... had we ever previously confirmed what the name of the song with the lyric "close to singularity" was? If not, was the title revealed to you Josh?

“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

You know.... if someone who's reading this wanted to anonymously upload it to YouTube with an anonymous account, that would be pretty awesome! You don't need to give us a link either, we can just search YouTube for the keyword "Our Lady Peace" and select the "most recent upload" search parameter

Demo sounds pretty cool, really like the guitar and the song musically and lyrically. But I hope the song picks up more later into it though and gets more heavy
