i really like a girl i work with....we get along amazing and have been hanging out outside of work quite a bit lately....we have grown closer and closer over the last few months and we pretty much talk everyday.....now comes the time for the problem....she is much too young for me....I just turned 24, and she is not quite 18 (will be in 4.5 months)...i would normally never pursue a girl that age, and have actually turned them down in the past based purely on age....but it started out just as friends, but my feelings have grown and i want to pursue being more than just friends (and im confident she feels the same way)....but do i wait till she turns 18....or do i just forget it altoghether...i dont know what to do...cant change my feelings....and the age difference isnt really what bothers me cause i dont even notice it....its the age she is now that is the only problem for me....but its just a number....ugh....i dont know....someone help me please>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooo... my parents didn't know about that rule obviously. There's 18 years between them!!

And my mom tried to protest when I dated a guy 4 years older (who I eventually married)

Well, (assuming your dad is the older one), once he hit 50, he was okay with your mom. At 50, she would be 32, which is half of 50 plus 7.

i don't know if that would be a sketchy relationship or not....

on hand it'd be pretty sweet to be old and have a relatively young hot wife (or husband) but it would be weird

ie. ashton kutcher and demi moore

haha good point. So for 12 years it was a sketchy rel'p (they got together when she was 20), until they met the half + 7 rule.

Your math is much better than mine today... my brain is a little foggy

I am getting to the point in college where I only want the seniors and grad students.

IT's not that I don't like boys younger than me, it's just that once you get to know them their immaturity starts to show. Which is worse in boys. So in order for me to find someone on about the same maturity level as me I have to date 24 and up.
