thing is, Mars has been "dead" for more than 31,000,000 years. so i don't know what we can think about this. the article also says that the bactaria clings to pockets of water, at this point we don't know if mars has pockets of water. this is still really really cool though!

Invading a town near you.

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

No, but we do know for sure that water has existed since there is a lot of ice beneath the surface of mars.

yeah but scients say that the water froze about 40-100 million years ago.

http://www.space.com/news/baker_marswater_000621.html

but then there are some lesser-known scientists who suggest 2-6 million years ago. but those guys are mostly the type of people who would appear on Coast to Coast or something.

Fascinating. Can you imagine if this eventually lead to the cure for neuro degenerative diseases? Like Alzheimers or Parkinsons?

Wow.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

Yeah so that means that the water was unfrozen that long ago, how do we know for sure there weren't extremophiles in the water when it froze or anywhere else on mars for that matter?

Maybe the water was really a living entity on it's own, like a giant water blob! Like Roseanne! Except she's holding a lot more than water!
