I don't even care anymore. Its over. But I mean, it felt like it was over before anyways. If anyone is suffering from lack of hockey, go watch your local junior team play, its just as entertaining, plus cheaper and more frequent.

Easy for you to say you lucky bastich up north :P All we have here ...

Barry Melrose said something along those lines on ESPN News a little while ago.

Per another Post

But according to TSN:

The NHL has filed a counter-proposal to the NHL Players' Association offer, upping the salary cap to $42.5 million.

The NHL has told NHLPA executive director Bob Goodenow that ...

Just my 2 cents...but with the technology and the safety factors and rules to protect players out on the ice, players are going to be around for more than 5 years. Plus they're in better shape than before. I mean, there are a lot of players who just wash up because they're just not that good. But ...

Yeah, I think MI turnarounds are named that for a reason...Cuz in most other places, you pull up to the light...and then turn left! :P what's up with that...take a right, cross over 2 even 3 lanes of traffic just to go the other way? Craziness I tell you!

Ok we take an armed home invasion.

Situation 1. Armed bandit enters. Everyone told to remain calm and not doing anything. People comply. Less tense situation. Stuff taken. bandit may or may not be caught 3 weeks later by cops.

Situation 2. Armed bandit enters, Father goes to get gun to protect ...

I just had a question for all the people who are for owning guns for personal use. Does it not bother any of you, how machines that were designed to kill are so easily bought and accessed?

Am I alone in my sentiment that its frightening?[And Thats away from my general Paranoia of Guns.]

I'd ...

And I hope you didn't think I was saying anything disparaging about England. That wasn't my intent. I was just merely pointing out that even though a gun law was passed, that didn't stop the criminals. And IMO, the laws should be directed more at punishing/eliminating criminals than at the tools ...

Gun Violence in Britan

That is true. However, the gun doesn't make a person a killer. If a person is pathetic enough to want to take another person's life, he's already a killer before he even gets a gun.

But my previous analogy was in response to what other use is there for a firearm other than killing. I was just ...

How about equating this to martial arts? Why do people train in Karate, or Mui Tai, or Aikido? Are those arts not taught to make a person a weapon? So to a lesser extent, it's still a violent weapon to have. But people do it. People train. But there is more than violence being taught. There is ...

What I really don't understand is why the original assault weapons ban was created to expire after 10 years. If you think they're a bad thing and need to be banned then surely that ban should be permanent, or at least permanent until someone comes along with a whole new law and justification to ...

In a few days (I believe monday), the ban imposed on automatic weapons 10 years ago will expire. When Bush was elected, he promised to renew this ban. Unfortunately, he lied (Gasp!). Many police officials and politicians predict crime will dramatically increase when gang members and criminals and ...
