Great thread

Thought I'd add this one to the list. It's a very different cover of Imagine that Raine and Steve recorded for War Child's 'Peace Songs' CD.

this evacuation fiasco is such a non-story. no matter how good a job harper had done the media would have found something that he didn't do as well as someone else. I'm not a fan of harper - I've never voted for him or his party and probably never will; but seriously, get over it.

just thought I'd add that "Love & Trust" is being played about 2 or 3 times a day on Sonic 102.9 in Edmonton.

it's not about making a name for themselvses (maybe just a little), it's (mostly, i think) about getting work and experience as a producer. Raine being a producer has nothing to do with olp in anyway. and raine isn't 'cashing in', sometimes a job is a job, and if you're new to a certain profession ...

Don't Stop
ok, so I'm thinking of a video that came out a while back of olp at the skydome where the music was practically innaudible - raine was wearing a plaid shirt - it was some sort of benefit - didn't they play a song called 'don't stop' then? or was that something else?

you hit on the one thing that really scares me about harper - is he going to send troops to Iraq and support other US led military initiative? maybe. But, there would be a great deal of backlash if it did happen, and no politician wants the people against him whether he's a self-serving right wing ...

Rob, I agree with you on all the issues that you've talked about. I also believe strongly that we need a more democratic electoral system such as proportional representation. I believe that we need to adjust our immigration policies dramatically to deal with the impending problems of underpopulation ...

Yeah, so I think first, it's time for a change - the liberals have been proven to be corrupt so I don't think they deserve to win.

A corrupt political party?! Oh noes! End of the world! I'm not big on the Liberals, but this is hardly an astonishing development in the world of political activity ...

you know, don't hate me, and tell me if you think I'm completely wrong, but I think some of you guys are being a little melodramatic about the prospect of the conservatives winning a majority. First off, I should say, that you will never meet a more social democratic person in your life than I - I ...
